Capital Bartenders Competition

Capital Bartenders is a cocktail competition that aims to challenge bartenders from around Abu Dhabi to create cocktails with the greatest potential to establish itself as a leading drink within the Emirate. The ambition of Capital Bartenders is to offer a platform to nurture talent, educate & upskill bartenders and encourage creativity to highlight some of the region’s talent to a wider audience! This is born out of a partnership between Spinney’s Beverages and the Head of Bars, Greg “The Cocktail Butcher”, from COYA Abu Dhabi, who both believe in the competition’s goals

How To Enter

  • Step1. Fill the online entry form and subscribe to enter the competition.
  • Step2. Create a Cocktail using selected products.
  • Step3. Post a picture on your Instagram using this Hashtag #Capitalbartenders #Spinneys #AbuDhabi .
  • Step4. Tag @CapitalBartenders and @Spinneysbev.

Your Drink Creation

  • Your creation must be based on one of the following:
    Bombay Sapphire, Bacardi Carta Blanca, Bacardi 8 Anos, Patron Silver, Patron Reposado, Patron Anejo, Grey Goose, Martini Extra Dry,  Martini Prosecco, Noilly Prat, Dewar’s White Label
  • There is no limit in the amount of ingredients.
  • Homemade ingredients are encouraged.
  • Concepts and originals stories are encouraged .
  • Energy Drinks are prohibited.
  • Any representation of illegal products or inappropriate behavior are Prohibited.

The Finals

  • 6 finalists will be selected by the judges to compete in the final that will be held in COYA Abu Dhabi.
  • 1 bottle of the main spirit will be provided to each finalist.
  • Clear ice, cubes and crushed will be provided by the venue.
  • All other ingredients must be brought by the competitors.
  • Each competitor will have 3 min time to set up and 5 mins for presentation.
  • Overtime will be penalised.
  • Submission Deadline: 9th July 2023.
  • Competition Final: 17th July 2023.

The Winner

The winner will receive:

  • The Title of Capital Bartender 2023 (certificate and Trophy).
  • A Spinneys Beverages voucher for 2,000 AED.
